"Chair Team" Post

Just a reminder to everyone: our rules explicitly prohibit the use of full names or social media handles. As a result, the recent post referencing Nad & Sab (“the chair team”) was removed.

As much as we would love to leave up these posts and understand the interest in discussions like this, these guidelines are non-negotiable and are enforced consistently to protect the group, as many of you are already aware.

We realize that a Redditor, claiming to be the individual discussed, felt compelled to explain her position, and we realize the confidence it took to step in and defend herself and her friend. But with that said, it’s important to understand the nature of a space like this.

Snark groups are spaces for opinion, critique and discussion, particularly when the subject is a public figure who monetizes visibility. Expressing critical viewpoints on actions or inconsistencies falls within the bounds of free expression. These forums also function as collective commentary, allowing shared observations to be discussed in a designated space rather than directing them at individuals personally.
