long term software on boox?
i plan to use an e-reader as a glorified notebook basically (as well as reading books ofc), so i don't need any fancy features. but i'm worried about long term software support. i would honestly buy a supernote manta if i could since they're focused on right to repair and long term usage, but it needs over $100 in import taxes which is just unacceptable.
i'm just wondering if the device will remain usable for its basic features (i.e. taking notes, syncing them to computer either over wire or over something like syncthing, and reading pdfs/epubs) over, say 5-10 years?
