1987 22R 5 speed 4x4. I recently had some random no start issues, and shut off on me once, and then wouldn't start back. Turned out to be a sticky float needle, as far as I could tell. No fuel in the bowl when this happened. It would start right up if I bump the Carb hard enough 5-10 times with the back of a screwdriver. Fuel level also seemed a little low in the glass when it was there.

Took the top of the Carb off, with it still on the truck as carefully as I could. I hope I didn't damage the Choke on the back. I sprayed Carb cleaner everywhere, and into any holes, and wiped things with paper towels. I also worked the Float needle up and down 30+ times it soaked in cleaner.

I sadly do not have a Tach. So, I crunk it up and it seemed to be idling a little lower than it used to. It also didn't do the normal 2-5 minute high idle it usually does, but it is really warm here today. I can't even tell for sure if it is idling lower. If it is, I'm not sure if that's better or worse. I really want an SR5 cluster. I hate not having a tachometer. I drove it right near my house until the temp came up, and it seemed OK, I guess.

Here is a video of it idling after warmed up. Does everything seem and sound normal? Idle seem normal? And lastly is the fuel in the glass normal at idle? It may be a little below half. It's kind of hard to tell. If I damaged the Choke would it be obvious? It is to the point I am worried to drive it anywhere due to it randomly not starting or shutting off on the road. As long as I can tap it to get it home, but if it stops that, that is what I'm concerned of.

Thank you for any feedback. I hope it is fixed at least for a good whille.
If I have any more issues. I guess I will take the Carb completely off and rebuild it

Did a poor man's Carb clean. Does the idle seem normal? Feed back.
