What impression does someones cracked phone screen leave on you?
While I was at work recently, a colleague pointed out the cracked screen on my phone and remarked that I should get it fixed. Their reasoning was that a broken device suggests a lack of attention to detail and makes me appear unreliable. This interaction sparked a question for me: have we reached a point where 'tech status' is a standard social metric? It feels as though we’ve moved from judging people by their clothes and accents to judging them by the quality and upkeep of their personal electronics.
