If sludge has a lot of blues influences, then what are some Blues bands worth checking out?

Hey folks, i really want to do authentic, good sludge ol' classic sludge, so i have been delving into hardcore punk and powerviolence to learn and enrich my taste, gain understanding of that side of sludge, but then i recalled people talking about the blues influences found within the genre. What are some things to check out? Have any of the OGs of the genre listed Blues influences?

Cheers
