Are the geniemon weekly limit based on your own farming and not a global reset?

So I was doing my weekly geniemon farming through Capture early today after the weekly reset when I stopped getting any more geniemons after just the 10th spawn. I counted.

I was confused because the week just started so my limit should have just reset. I have tried a few runs again just now and all in all, it has been about 10 runs since I last got a geniemon.

I do remember late last week, when I was doing SLC farming that I would randomly get a geniemon when I knew I'm supposed to have used up my weekly limits already, but I just chalked it up to me maybe not understanding the limits or maybe miscounting it when i was farming earlier that week.

Only now, looking back has it made me think that perhaps my weekly limit reset in the middle of the week.

I'm at TR61.
