best spot for a cheap group dinner

looking for a spot that offers a cheap dining experience for group dinner. I was looking into some prix fixe options or even AYCE like upon the palace 35pp. Want to cover the tab for my mom’s birthday with my family but I’m also still poor and trying to live within means. preferably looking around the UES but not super picky with location. Thanks!
