Key fob not working after IE stage 1 tune

2016 GTI -

Flashed to IE stage 1 high torque after running low torque file with no issues.

After the flash was done, car started for a couple seconds then shut off and flashed an immobilizer warning.

Both key fobs no longer work for lock/unlock and I have to hold the fob to the steering column in order to start the car.

Any suggestions? IE support says they haven't seen this issue on a mk7, and suggested it wouldn't hurt to disconnect and reconnect the battery.

Appreciate any advice!
