I want to find some new indie artists!

I’ve fallen into the Spotify over-tailored algorithm and I want to hear from real people which artists I might like. If you follow people who do this, please recommend them as well.

You’ll see from my preferences that I’m obviously a millennial. I want new fresh stuff but I’m struggling a little to find new artists.

I’d say my favorite artists are Alvvays, Wild Nothing, Bon Iver, Wolf Alice, Men I Trust, Wet, Addison Rae, Alcest, Beach House, Joanna Newsom, Sufjan Stevens, Grlwood, Banshee, Drab Majesty, Lana Del Rey, Phantogram, The Strokes….

I like artists that feel authentic and non-derivative, I like lush pop and “yacht rock” and and I love weird chord progressions. I like pure dopamine sounds that give you frisson but I also like to be challenged, especially by compelling lyrics.

Throw anything at me. I’ll give it a listen!
