My boyfriend is away for the holidays and I'm not coping well

My (22F) boyfriend (23M) and I have been dating for a little over a year. Everything is going great, he's patient and kind, we're very in love.

This holiday season is really rough on me. My midterm exams fall right after New Year's so I'm spending my two weeks of holidays studying at my mother's house (including on Christmas Day and New Year's Eve lol). It's extremely stressful because duh, but also my mom is really not helping, and I'm overall not having a good time, at all. Meanwhile my boyfriend is on a ski vacation with his best friends (both 23M) for two weeks, and is obviously having a lot of fun. Spending the holidays together was never an option because long story short, my mom lives in another country, so do his parents, and we both flew home for Christmas.

My problem is it's really hard for me to barely hear from him for two weeks because he's busy (understandable) while I'm going through a really shitty, stressful time. He makes sure to update me on what he's doing a few times a day, so he's not doing anything wrong here but I'm so jealous 1) of him, for doing something I love while I'm stuck studying and 2) of his friends for doing that while in the company of my boyfriend!!! Legitimately feel so low and stupid, and the worst part is idk how to communicate that to him. I've seen friends with toxic boyfriends who just wouldn't let them have a good time by themselves and I don't wanna be that person, so I'm trying not to complain about this to him too much. Also I feel so pathetic for the way I'm spending my holidays, meanwhile he's doing something so cool. He's always been more popular than me but this makes me feel like I'm a depressed cavern troll and he's the Great Gatsby

Idk how to communicate with him about this. It sounds like such a non-issue typing it down but it's 100% the worst December of my life and I'm emo. Help?

TLDR: I'm spending my holidays studying at my mom's house, while my boyfriend is on a ski trip with his friends for weeks. I'm not dealing well with the stress of studying coupled with the separation.
