Issue with new Magnetar UDP800 MKII

Curious to hear if anyone who also bought either of the new Magnetar MKII series experience this (or owners of the first gen), so I know if it’s a general issue or unit issue. And whether I should send it back for a replacement or grab a UB9000 instead. I was looking to upgrade from a PS5.

On almost every triple layer disc (BD-100) I’ve played so far there’s a pause/freeze at the first layer change (around 40-60 minutes in). Usually a few seconds. On Midsommar Director’s cut it was really bad (pauses repeating for about a minute). When I rerun the discs it pauses again in the same place. I ran the same discs on PS5 (my former player) and no issue. No issue yet on BD-66 or 1080p Blu-Rays. Discs are cleaned and not scratched. No difference if I disable Dolby Vision.

I also find it about as loud as my PS5 at the first 10 minutes or so and sometimes later on in the movies. But for the most part it’s quiet.

Love all other aspects of the player so this experience is a bit unfortunate.
