How durable is the cap of the case?

Hey there!

Just got my first airpods of my life(an airpods pro3) I was thinking of buying one a few months ago when pro 2 was still out and got myself a case from temu just in case. Today I tried that case without searching if the size is the same with pro 2 and the case bottom got stuck. In order to take it out we tried to pull with the cap on but it didnt work at all and a coworker of mine pulled the airpods case from inside holes of the cap(top part of the case) It got off from the case(fortunately). The case and top of it is fine but I am just nervous whether or not he left a permanent damage to the case?
