9070xt Taichi is too big for my case

Should i drill out the rivets on my HDD drive cage that i dont use and remove it to make it fit? or should i just buy a new case and rebuild my PC into that one. I read online drilling is dangerous because of metal shavings and that i would need to completely remove every component before doing so because said metal shavings would cause problems
