I’m not a single mom yet

I’m not a single mom yet. But I wanted to know if anyone else has been in my position. I’m sure there are many. But I am 25 years old and have been with my boyfriend for 7 years. We have a child together who is 3. We have finally moved into our own home (renting) and it is the first time we have lived with one another without another roommate like parents or siblings. During our relationship there have been so many ups and downs. But I had noticed a change in his behavior ever since we had our child. Change such as controlling issues, stating he’s uncomfortable with what I wear even though I dress extremely conservative (no cleavage, no tight pants without a shirt covering my butt). This is a small portion of the problems we have had. I’ve noticed he gets upset over very normal things. At least they are normal for me. Such as if my family asks us to do any favors for them like taking care of their animals while they’re gone for the weekend, dinners, or get togethers. Anyways, as we have gotten further into our relationship, he mentions getting married. And honestly, I cringe at the thought of it. I can’t imagine getting married and spending my entire life with this man. Any time I talk about my feelings, I feel dismissed or he gets incredibly defensive. I haven’t felt emotionally safe around him since our child has been born. I think I am ready to finally have that talk that I’ve been avoiding about breaking it off. But I’m scared. I’m scared of not seeing our child as much as now. I’m scared he won’t make co parenting easy at all. I’m scared he’ll be angry our child. I’m also scared I cannot financially do it on my own. I have very supportive parents that will allow my child and I to move back in. And I know my boyfriend also has that choice. But it won’t be as comfortable for him as his families house is smaller and not as near as much room. I’m scared that my reason isn’t good enough. Because he doesn’t abuse me, cheat on me, or anything like that. I just feel like it’s impossible to be myself, to talk about my feelings, and hold true to my values. If you are or have been in a similar situation as me, what would you do? What have you done? Any advice helps..
