Using Claude for automated client research connected to Telegram and Obsidian

So I work with clients and before every call I spend time looking them. I setup automation for my obsidian where I forward email google calendar scheduling link to Claude in telegram and get a prep brief back.

I have the screenshot of interaction. You can see what I mean. I send the email copy of scheduled session to the telegram. My telegram is connected to Claude which handles this request and It does the research background, sends me a PDF brief, and creates a note in my vault (copy of the pdf).

It looks up the person, their company, figures out context given what I do. The brief shows up in Telegram as a PDF. Pretty useful before calls.

The cool part is it also creates the client in my Obsidian Bases automatically. This is if the client is new. I can see the brief attached to their note in the bases field as a .md document. I have filters for active clients, follow-ups needed. Obsidian turns out to be a very good CRM system with local files! No noiton is required)

For this whole automation I use Claude which is running on my computer. I interact Claude through this telegram.

Also I can tell to Claude on the phone scheduele prep for for tomorrow morning and it creates a task in my TaskNotes kanban board (obsidian plugin). I love that.

I believe this is powerful. I really love this level of automation and I could see other useful stuff for the running consulting/business work in Obsidian with local files. Interesting to see if people are using obsidian as crm for their companies

For the tech I have Mac Mini running 24/7 (could do with my laptop as well, but it needs to be awake for access to the claude), Claude with custom skills (calendar, tasknotes, and research), Telegram, Obsidian vault with Bases. Obsidian bases is really enabling part. Without it, it would be hard to understand and manage the complexity of all of those files for client work.

This is cool and exciting, so just wanted to share and get some other ideas from the community for this automations. I'm not interested in automation of taking notes, but rather automation of those manual operations which do not require creative work. Sort of context preparation for me, what information do I need to see and know.

Do you have any other ideas, how do you use Claude/Obsidian for client work or for task management. I want to have that exchange of ideas!
