I wasn’t inconsistent. I was just drowning in my own plans.

For the longest time, I thought my problem was discipline. I’d sit down and plan content for hours. Write ideas. Reorganize them. Move things around. Start fresh.Repeat.

On paper, I looked productive. In reality, nothing was going out.

What I didn’t realize back then is that planning felt safe. Posting felt exposed. Planning doesn’t judge you. Posting does. So I kept “preparing” instead of shipping.

The shift happened when I stopped asking: “What’s the perfect post?” And started asking:
“What’s the smallest version of this idea I can publish today?”

A few things that helped me:

  • One idea = one post (no combining, no overthinking)
  • Clear time to post, not just to plan
  • Stop redesigning the system every week
  • Track what’s posted, not what’s planned

Consistency didn’t come from motivation. It came from removing decisions.

Once my ideas stopped living only in my head, posting stopped feeling heavy.

I’m still not perfect. I still overthink sometimes. But now I ship first…and fix later.

Curious if anyone else here struggles more with starting than with ideas themselves.
