Physical therapy - what should I expect?

Starting physical therapy for my osteoarthritis. I know they’re going to help me with mobility aids but I don’t know what else they’ll do. My doctor and I agreed it’s a good idea to try to “slow down” the progress of my osteoarthritis but how do they do that?

So far I only know they’re helping with mobility aids because I specifically asked if they’d help me with it at my appointment. Which will be a couple days after my cane arrives in the mail.

I’ve had physical therapy for other stuff before but this is the first time I’ve had it for my osteoarthritis. It’s on January 9 so I have time to prepare but I’m really nervous
