Can someone tell me why I shouldn't contact her?

We broke up about a week ago, or rather, she broke up with me. The first few days were terrible, but for the last few days I've been getting back to work and reading a lot. But right now I miss her a lot. I'd love to call her... but I know it won't do any good and that she's with friends in another city getting ready for New Year's Eve.

She has fallen in love with someone new and has already processed the breakup much further internally because she didn't really communicate with me about it. I find the situation very stressful right now.

Can someone distract me or give me good reasons why I shouldn't contact her?
