Used suv Suggestions/advice

Hey everyone,

I’m planning to upgrade from my Peugeot 207 (2009) because it’s just too small for my size and I want something with a more upright driving position and better overall space. I’m specifically looking for an SUV below £14,000 and I want it to be automatic.

I’ve been looking at a few options but I’m getting mixed/negative feedback online, especially on Reddit, and it’s confusing me a bit:

Nissan Qashqai (2020) 25k miles – Found one for £14.9k which seems like a good price, but some people here say it’s not very reliable.

Audi Q2 (1.5L, 2020) – I like this one in terms of looks and feel, but I’m unsure about long-term reliability and running costs.

MG HS – I like the spec level and space, but again, it seems to get poor reviews and reliability concerns online.

Most of the Reddit discussions I’ve seen basically trash every SUV except Honda and Toyota, which is frustrating because I’m not sure which models I should be targeting in my price range.

My priorities:

• Reliable – especially long-term ownership and not breaking down all the time

• Automatic transmission

• Comfortable for a taller/bigger driver

• Upright seating position – I prefer that with an SUV over a hatchback or saloon

• Decent running/servicing costs

Would appreciate your thoughts opinions/suggestions. I am gonna test drive qashqai and audi tomorrow. Please suggest any other cars in that range or anything else that i should be aware of if am going with Qashqai. Anything other than honda and Toyota has bad reputation here and sadly I couldn’t find any toyota or honda suv of my liking.
