Are northseats worth it?

My wife has been pestering me to get one since Christmas after she seen my Dad's. Not sure if they're easy to install fom youtube tutorials.

Not even sure if I trust getting them off the internet. My Dad's has been in the house as long as I can remember and I assume it was custom made.

It's probably the only thing I miss about living from home besides having a toilet on each floor.
