Today I witnessed how "it" happens. How people drive into restaurants or off parkades.
I went to park in a lot near Cedarbridge and No 2. It's a narrow lot thats always busy.
The one (parallel) parking spot available 1/4 taken up by a car parked carelessly over the line.
Due to my superior parking skills, I managed to slide in and left just enough space between each of the now 3 vehicles.
While I was waiting for my friend to come to the car, I saw the owner of the poorly parked vehicle get in their car. It was an older gentleman but he didn't seem senile.
After he starts it, he floors the gas for a good 10 seconds as if gas pedal was the brake. Before the engine goes back to idle, he's already let the e-break off.
Lucky he didn't floor it right into my vehicle. I feel like now i understand how these things happen so much.
