Yahenni's Expertise Question

My opponent had Electro on the battlefield and I cast Yahenni's Expertise and with the 2nd effect I decided to cast Spiteful Banditry. How exactly does this interaction resolve? I am unsure if Spiteful Banditry would be in play when Electro dies.
