Women who dated within the same friend circle - how did you move on from breakup?

Hi ladies, I have a situationship with one of my guy bestfriends and we have been intimate as well. But we always knew that we aren't a good match for each other in long term. So we decided to not talk at all and only meet in group settings. We didn't meet alone for half of the year but met recently.

We both could sense that we still have that spark but due to many reasons we can't be together. We both never really moved on from each other bcs of the same friends circle.

Any suggestions on how to navigate this? For now, we have decided we will tell our friends that we will not hangout together in grp settings.
