Castlevania 64 - Really struggling to like this game 😆

So I'm playing Castlevania 64, I do have Castlevania LOD as well but thought to do two runs on Castlevania 64 first with both starting chars. to get all that the game has to offer. I'm near the end of the Castle level where you blow the walls and got passed walking those tiny platforms with the nitro.... but wow... It seems more like a chore to keep playing. The game itself feels bland, the camera is horrible, there is no map, not a big deal as this game seems pretty short so far. Combat isn't really interesting.

The main challenges I've found was platforming and battling the camera. The amount of deaths over either rotating while moving, or just not seeing enough has been enough to just turn it off. The clunky controls don't help either, but tied with a bad camera it just magnifies it.

I'm still trying to give it a fair shake but as I've gotten older I tend to dump games once the fun factor is gone; I don't force myself to finish games.

Maybe I should start on LOD? Not sure...
