i feel like my best friend doesn't respect me idk if or how to talk about it

hi lol

so my friend, let's call him danny (20 ftm) and i (22 mtf) have been friends for around 2 and a half years and rly close for about 6 months of that. we met working at a summer camp, and anyone who has been in that environment knows that friendships grow and get intense very quickly there due to being forced to spend time together. we have since kept in touch, texting pretty much every day and have talked on the phone several times.

at camp, we both shared very personal things with each other. one thing from me was that right out of high school i went to a really big state school, got overwhelmed and very depressed and ended up having to drop out mid-semester to avoid flunking out. after that, i attended the local community college where i did well (i made honor roll lol) and have since transferred to a smaller four year school and am doing well there. when i told him this he seemed empathetic and whatnot. however, he has made multiple jokes about it. the first happened at camp- us and a few other friends were having a conversation about school, and i made some comment about it being difficult, but then said "but i don't know if my school counts" (i shouldn't have said that but whatever), and he shot back with "of course it doesn't fucking count, it was community college and you were living with your parents." he seemed genuinely upset i was comparing community college to the large state school he attends. this really hurt my feelings, as i am actually very proud of myself for being able to do the work in community college to succeed after my experience at my prior university. genuinely after that i thought i was doomed to never do well in college and that even though im not stupid im just not "college material," so it really hurt my feelings.

there were a few minor things after that, but the next one that stuck out was i sent a meme about him being slow to respond, and he replied with "sorry im not a neet like you" (neet is an acronym for "not in education, employment, or training," and basically means people aged ~18-25 who don't have a job and are not in school). i replied that i am in school, and he jokingly called it "gay school." i am aware he was kidding, but it reminded me of the comment he made at camp about community college not counting and it has led me to believe that he doesn't have any respect for me or my accomplishments.

it is an objective fact that he has accomplished more in life than i have and that his accomplishments are more impressive. however, some of the things he has said just have really rubbed me the wrong way.

should i say anything to him? how should i word it? im not angry at him necessarily, im just hurt. am i justified in being hurt at all? idk

if you need any more information/context lmk.

tysm!!
