3 feeds per night?
I am doing taking Cara babies sleep training with my 4 month old (basically Ferber) and he has done well so far. It says to go in and do a feed at 10:30pm and 3:30am. However I am finding that he is waking close to these times before I go in to feed and crying and not settling back down after almost an hour of check ins. I know at that point he is hungry but sometimes I don’t even get a lull of him not crying to go in to get him. It is kind of stressful when I know he’s hungry but just trying to wait it out to not reinforce the crying! We are doing this cold turkey after co-sleeping (never wanted to co sleep but it was the only way he would) and he was on and off feeding all night. Would adding a third feed be okay? I’m thinking 10pm, 1am, 4am? Basically I feel like the point of training (not getting baby from the crib when upset) will be easier to enforce having the third feed but didn’t know if there is a reason I shouldn’t do this.
1.5/1.75/2/2/2 - roughly 3-3.5 hours of daytime sleep
