Am i the only that thinks lego is milking a dead cow by continuing ninjago?
So i grew up with ninjago , i had a ton of lego ninjago sets , notably The lighthouse siege , ronin's ship , some dragons . My last set i got was (i think) that lloyd island dragon , i started to lose interest in ninjago in 2020 or late 2019 (when i was at the start of my teen years) .
Recently i saw at a hardware store some ninjago sets they had in a corner and started looking trough them and man , every set is a mech or a dragon . Back in my day when there were mech sets in the set wave , those sets were an rare occasion (same with dragons) . Now every set is a mech or a dragon and they are all the same (the cheaper ones) . There are some cool sets i saw , like those ninjago legends sets , the kai mech and that dragon look very nice , also that cole gundam style mech is very nice but the cheaper ones are all copy and paste but with different color schemes .
So when i got home i searched the ninjago storyline now , and apparently the show had soft rebooted ?
Also there are some new ninjas .
Jay had gone evil? same story like in older seasons , a ninja is corrupted , goes evil or is lost somehow . They are just reusing older plots with a different character each time.
Also a ton of plot holes
The plot is very reused imo , and they are pumping a ton of low quality mechs instead of actually nice sets for a cheaper price
Am i the only that thinks this?
