Bartholin Cyst update from my last post. I am concerned and would like advice!

From last post (can skip if needed)

I need some advice about a Bartholin cyst. This is my first time having one, and I’m really worried. I don’t know where this came from. My partner and I usually engage in oral sex with no penetration, and the day after, I noticed pain on my left labia.

Last week I went to a walk-in gynecologist, and they prescribed SMX-TMP and advised me to do sitz baths with Epsom salt. The cyst is about the size of a penny, so it’s not too big, but I’m worried it won’t go away and that I’ll end up needing it drained. I really want to avoid surgery or having it drained if possible.

I’ve only tried Epsom salt with water and using a hot water bottle placed on the area.

Update/ A week of taking my medication/ CONCERNED:

I finished my antibiotics and the pain was gone last week, but today is the first day without the antibiotics and the pain is back, but not as severe as before. It feels more like a pinch. The pain is about 1-2/10.

It doesn't interfere with daily life like it did before. The size has gone down, but it's still noticeable. The "ball"/cyst is tender/ soft and a bit hard. Is this normal? How long should I expect this to last? Is this something to be concerned about or should I just wait it out? Or should I reach out to a

gynecologist?

Please be kind in the comments. I’m just concerned, as I’m still a college student trying to make ends meet while working, and my health insurance is about to expire. That’s why I’m wondering if I should see a different gynecologist tomorrow. I went to a walk in clinic that doesn’t do Bartholin cyst catheter.
