Canada processing time
My husband is Canadian and I am from the US, I’ve been here for almost 2 years under visitor visas, and now implied status as my last visa is timed out and they have yet to respond to the application I sent out two weeks before my visa expired. Pr is still in processing. Money isn’t an issue, it’s the quality of life, I have certain vaccines that need renewal and I can’t access them without a health care card which I can’t apply to get without the new visa that says I’m good to stay. I love this country and the potential political diversity and If I didn’t want to go back to get my Mexican citizen ship when I’m much older, I would get one for Canada so I could vote! But thank goodness I’m fortunate to have monetary resources, I can’t imagine how much harder this would be if I couldn’t at least pay cash for walk in clinics and pharmacy. In a small Alberta town, I think it’s funny to joke about my limbo status helping boost the economy when I spend money from my US bank account.
