guy stopped being friends with me when he got a girlfriend but remains friends with other girls from our group

as the title says.

it was me, him and two other girls in our friend group. he got a girlfriend over the summer and stopped talking to me point blank period. yet, he still remains friends with my two best friends who were part of our group and he still asks about me to them.

why is this so? did he like me while we were friends and now doesn’t want to be around me because he has a girlfriend?
