Information on Grand Rapids underground scene for writing.

I'm currently writing an investigative piece on what I call "passive trafficking". It's much like sextortion, lover boy/lover girl scams, and coercive control. I am curious if any one has stories, urban legends, folklore, tips on interesting locales, or anything else that would be great! Thank you for helping to contribute to the realism and quality of my work.
