Second bad mobile charger in a month?

I had to swap out my mobile charger because it dropped to 2 amps and was blinking red rapidly at the beginning of December. Earlier today I got a notification saying the charger had an error and sure enough, it’s slowly blinking a single red light now. Is this an issue with the outlet or is it more likely that I got a second bad mobile charger? I’m only renting so I’m stuck with the level 1 trickle charger sadly.
