Minecraft Local split screen multiplayer

Does anyone know how to play Minecraft using local multiplayer split screen on the Xbox Ally ? When you download via the Xbox full screen it gives you 3 softwares for Minecraft being Minecraft for Windows, Minecraft Launcher and Minecraft Java. When I use the launcher and select bedrock this still Doesn’t allow me to add a second player via a second controller. I have used local multiplayer on other games on the Ally.

I bought the ally as an upgrade for my son from the Switch and I know the Ally is a PC but I can’t seem to find a way to play split screen Minecraft.
