My boyfriend 28M, bought me a Christmas gift but forgot to give it to me on Christmas.

My boyfriend 28M and I 25F have been dating for 1 year - this is our first Christmas together. We also live together too.
We went shopping two weeks before Christmas, where I found a book I wanted on sale. He purchased me the book and told me I’d receive it on Christmas.
On Christmas, I was confused when I didn’t receive it. But I did receive a stocking with very cheap candy from dollar general.
Not to sound ungrateful but the candy were things I never eaten around him before. Things I would never purchase with my own money nor consume.
He works as a Police Officer - and helps the store close up at night so it’s not like he went out of his way to buy those things.
And when he gave me the gift, I did show gratitude and I thanked him but then it all went into the trash.
It’s almost been a week since Christmas, and I still haven’t received the book that was supposed to be my Christmas present. Today, I ask him about it over text because he was at work and he told me that he wanted to wrap it - then said he forgot with a laughing emoji … what is so funny about forgetting the one and only Christmas gift you bought for your girlfriend? How do you forgot something like that?

This isn’t the first time he’s made me feel unloved. My birthday was in November, and he didn’t even try to take the day off in advance. So I spent my birthday alone where I received no flowers, no card, or gifts. He bought me an engagement ring in July - and it’s been sitting in his trunk. Then pretended to be sick the day after my birthday - after saying he planned to propose to me … His birthday was in June - where I made him a cake, dinner, wrapped his gifts, sang him happy birthday etc and he says he doesn’t remember any of it. Theres been a constant pattern with him where he seems to intentionally do things to upset me - then gets upset that I’m upset. I‘m honestly just so over this and thinking about leaving him.

TL;DR - Boyfriend and I buy my Christmas present together two weeks before Christmas, On Christmas I did not receive it and he said that he forgot once I asked him a week later.
