Tree change, wanting to leave Sydney

Hi!

I’m wanting to do something which is going against the grain for my extended family who all reside in Sydney.

My husband and I are hoping to leave the Sydney suburbs and move to an acreage with our 3 young kids. It’s something that we keep coming back to and don’t want to ignore anymore.

Given none of our family have ever done this, I would love any recommendations, tips or tricks on some great regions/suburbs to move to! (I know it will be general as you don’t know us personally hehe).

I work remotely and my husband is a high school teacher.

Just in our general travels, we really like the Hunter region. Leura, Berrima, Kangaroo Valley were also lovely.

However… I would consider less of a commute time to Sydney for family that wish to visit and stay.
