Aroma and taste of wine gone 10 minutes after opening

Like the title says. I opened a bottle of wine and smelled and tasted strong aromas of red and dark fruits. After about 10 minutes in the glass the aroma and taste are very flat/muted. Is this a flaw in the wine?
