Feeling taken for granted in my relationship and unsure how to move forward

I (34F) have been in a relationship with my partner (36M) for a little over three years. Throughout the relationship, I’ve consistently put effort into communication, reliability, and follow-through. Over time, these efforts have come to feel expected rather than appreciated. I’ve clearly expressed how this affects me and what I need in order to feel valued, but the behavior has not changed.

This pattern has begun to affect my emotional investment and how connected I feel in the relationship. I’m trying to determine whether continuing to invest energy into addressing this issue is realistic, or whether this reflects a deeper incompatibility around values such as appreciation, accountability, and mutual effort.

I’m seeking advice on how to assess whether remaining in this relationship is healthy given the ongoing lack of change, or whether accepting the current dynamic means accepting long-term resentment.

TL;DR:

I (34F) feel taken for granted by my partner (36M) after three years together despite clear communication. I’m struggling to decide whether continued effort is reasonable or if this dynamic signals a deeper incompatibility.
