What is your stance on cutting off friendships that don't understand you?

Question

I know I am FA and I have these times I want to run away from friendships. Well, here's the thing: I don't leave people these days without a clear reason. The impulse is there, but I don't act on it immediately. I have an aversion to hidden meanings and whenever my intuition tells me something is off for the smallest of reasons, I begin to doubt someone's loyalty.

I tried to explain myself multiple times with friends about how I was feeling to no avail. It feels like a weight on my back trying to pretend someone I am not, if that makes sense? The anxiety stems from not fitting in and waiting for a response—hours or a day without responses can drive me mad especially if I know they're available.

I swear it sounds so nice in theory, but I cannot understand for the love of god why it came this far if I knew they didn't understand my circumstances. Was I just lying to myself to avoid feeling lonely and seeking long-term security? I pondered it over and over and I didn't want to be friends with them anymore. I don't hate them or anything, I'm simply not feeling like myself anymore otherwise.
