NYE transportation options?

With neither KC Metro nor ST Express buses operating an extended schedule for NYE, what’s the best plan for transportation home after NYE festivities?

Take the light rail or closest night bus route and then hope that taxi/Lyft home from there is cheaper? (Should be able to get about halfway there) Just bite the bullet and pay for the taxi or Lyft the whole way?

This is my first time being out and about in Seattle on NYE so I have no idea what the fares will be like or if it will be hard to even find a ride. Would really rather not drive. We can take the bus no problem to our destination but that particular route stops running too early to be able to take it back home.
