Ryzen 5 5800XT wont boot even with my ASUS Prime X470 updated to 6251

Currently trying to upgrade from my ryzen 5 3600 to the 5800XT and after putting in the new cpu all the normal lights turn on but im not getting any signal to my monitor. I tried clearing the CMOS by turning the pc all the way off and removing the battery for 15 minutes as well as re seating the ram and updating BIOS. Im not sure what else to do if anyone has ideas please let me know.
