Bruce Willis was barely ever in space and that still surprises me
At this very moment I’m rewatching The Fifth Element and it made me realize something that feels so oddly wrong:
For someone so closely associated with sci-fi and action, Bruce Willis was almost never actually in space. Sure, The Fifth Element clearly counts. Armageddon partly does — but most of it is still Earth-based. And apart from that, there’s surprisingly little. Which is strange, considering:
• his action-hero status
• his presence in sci-fi adjacent roles
• and how often his contemporaries ended up in space movies
It almost feels like Korben Dallas was the exception, not the rule.
Am I overlooking something major?
Or is it genuinely true that Bruce Willis’ filmography barely touches real space settings? Question is why is that, why Hollywood barely casted him for space?
