Guys vs girls after a break up, how is he able to talk to others already?

6 year relationship ended almost 2 weeks ago because although he was inlove with me, he wanted to see what being single was like again. We were no contact for a week and then a few days and today we met in person today to talk. The love is still very much there, everything was like we had never even broken up. He was so kind and understanding. He told me I can come over whenever I want or message him whenever, I don’t have to leave. I told him he can’t have both of the things he wants (me, but also the single life) he will never make a decision that way. I also made it clear I won’t be waiting around for him though. I’m heart broken because I felt blindsided, nothing was wrong with our relationship but curiosity got to him. He’s been snap chatting girls these two weeks and is on tinder. He’s admitted how fast those things die down though. He still just can’t make a decision and doesn’t want to lead me the wrong way. How is he talking to people so easily already and I can’t even think about talking to anyone else? I don’t even want to. We are clearly processing this break up very differently. Maybe him seeing me on dating apps will hit hard emotionally because he’s never witnessed me being available for others?
