How good is single channel memory?

I understand that dual-channel memory is better than single channel. But recently I was able to procure 1 stick of 16 GB memory DDR5 for much less than AI Bubble price. But since it’s just one, I want to know if I can run with that long term? I’ve hardly seen builds online with one stick so I I just want to know if using just one would mean not losing out on much performance.
