Message of the Gospel

“No one wants to admit it, but we all need help. And actually it’s deeper than that: we need to be saved, rescued. The letters of Paul remind us we all need rescue from the unwelcome intruders of sin and death. Thankfully, God has helped us by saving us from these powers! Through the power of Jesus and his sacrifice, we are saved from sin and death, released from shame and guilt, and free to serve and worship God.”

These words came from my mama’s uncle who’s a preacher. Wanted to share because this is such a good telling of the gospel. I used to think spreading the gospel was just spreading random scriptures from the Bible, but it is more about helping people understand that we are a fallen people that need help and guidance from our loving creator. It might be harsh, intimidating, and even confusing at times, but the Word is “God breathed”. So when in doubt, trust in His Word. Much love!💌
