Therapy, anger problems, and bipolar

I have therapy today. I've been wanting to bring up an issue with my therapist but I'm am reluctant too. I am really scared of what people will think of me with this. I have a short fuse with people that are close to me especially when I'm manic. I get angry, aggressive, say cruel things, and have even gotten physical. These are things that I don't want to do. It's not completely tied to my bipolar. I was just diagnosed this year and I'm 41. I do feel like when I look back at times I feel like I was manic in the past (before diagnosis) that it doesn't help with my aggression. I have pushed a lot of people away because I feel like I can't deal with this on my own. I don't speak to a lot of my family anymore. I just don't know how to communicate really. I've isolated myself so much that the only people that see it are my wife and kids. I just don't know what to do or how to handle it. I feel like I'm spinning in circles with therapy because I'm just to stupid and stubborn to bring these things up.
