42 [M4F] #Oregon #Portland #Salem #VancouverWA Coffee or Tea first. Chemistry second. Everything else after.
What local spot would be part of your ideal first date? Is it somewhere you love showing off to friends from out of town?
For me, it starts simply. A late-afternoon coffee or tea where the cozy smell of espresso and rain makes us linger longer than planned. Easy conversation, a little teasing, the quiet realization that we’re both leaning in. Maybe dinner follows, not because it was planned, but because neither of us is ready to call it a night.
Later, we wander into a small venue we mentioned in passing. The kind where the music feels close enough to touch. We trade glances, move a little closer, and when the moment feels right, I ask about dessert. From there, the night unfolds the way good nights do, naturally and without rushing.
People matter more than places. The right connection turns ordinary moments into something memorable.
A bit about me: curious by default, grounded, and lightly mischievous when the mood allows. I split my time between Salem routines and Portland nights that feel like a reset. Long runs or bike rides keep me balanced. Small concerts, good food, and dry humor usually pique my interest. Clean-cut, warm-eyed, and comfortable letting things develop at their own pace.
If this resonates, tell me what you’d add to our evening. A hidden café, a favorite dish, a small venue, or the kind of dessert worth lingering over.
