Confused about my visa status

Hello! I had a confusion regarding my visa status so I’m posting here to get some clarity. I was laid off earlier this year and I had filed an application for H-4(no premium processing) in order to maintain legal status beyond my grace period. I ended up finding a new job and they filed H-1B via premium processing with a start date from late January (my job starts on that day). I also received an approval notice for my H-4 application. I checked the case status online for both cases and both of them were approved on the same day. I’m trying to understand if my H-4 status can override my H-1B status because I’m not sure which one was approved earlier. I read online that both my applications will get addressed if even one of them was filed via PP. Not sure how true that is. Can someone share their experience/thoughts in this?
