Good morning everyone and Happy New Year, hope you have all managed to enjoy the festive period.

36 year old Scotsman here. I work in healthcare and so my job keeps me fairly busy but in my spare time I’m an avid, all weather runner and tend to run 5-6 times a week. I’m currently training for my first marathon in April. I’m following a training programme that involves a fair bit of interval and hill training which is mostly enjoyable but in the winter months motivation can dwindle a bit!

In terms of other interests I enjoy being outdoors walking or hiking, cooking, travelling, and TV/film occasionally (psychological thrillers or horror usually although I do like the Traitors).

I’m looking for fellow runners to help me to stay motivated with the marathon training as well as being able to form an online friendship with. I enjoy talking to others from all walks of life and so good conversation skills are a must. In future, and if distance allows, would be up for meeting up to catch up or run together.

When you message please let me know a bit about you and why you think we’d hit it off. I’m afraid I won’t respond to one word introductions. Happy to receive messages from blank profiles but please be prepared to send photos of yourself. I’m happy sending photos of me once we start chatting.

Have a good day!
