Question for SBs and SDs about thoughtful gestures (food edition)

NSFWQuestion

Genuine curiosity here. For SBs: Do you ever cook for your SD, like making one of his favourite meals or surprising him with something homemade? If you do, how is it usually received? Does he appreciate those kinds of gestures, or is it not really part of your dynamic?

For SDs: Do you ever cook for your SB, or put a more personal touch into things like meals? In my own arrangements, I’ve done this by cooking for her or sending food when I knew she was under a lot of stress and didn’t have the time or headspace to cook or eat properly. I’ve always seen it as a small way to show care beyond just logistics.

If you’ve done something similar, how was it received? Did it strengthen the connection or change the dynamic in any way?

I’m curious how much these small, non-monetary gestures show up in sugar relationships, and whether they’re valued or expected, or if it really depends on the dynamic.

Would love to hear perspectives from both sides.
