Anyone else feel like POS systems slow intake down the most when it’s busiest?

Curious if this is just me or a common issue.

In a lot of shops I’ve seen, intake doesn’t fall apart because staff don’t know what they’re doing — it falls apart during rush hour because the POS adds friction at the worst possible time. Extra steps, bouncing between screens, awkward modifiers, or cleanup just to get garments tagged and paid while a line builds up.

For owners/operators here:
• Where does intake slow down first when it’s busy?
• What parts feel way more complicated than they should be?
• Do staff rely on workarounds just to keep things moving?

Genuinely interested in hearing how others experience this — and whether it’s just accepted as “how POS works” or something you’ve actually managed to fix.
